Hi everyone

I am asking for a lookup of the parish records of St thomas for the christening of James Miles christened on the 7th April 1822, I am after the extra information such as the mothers name and all that.........

Bapt.St Thomas Dudley 7 April 1822
             James Miles - parents Edward + Sarah.

Possible family in 1841 census,indexed as Mills.

Darby Hand,Dudley
Edward  Mills  55  carpenter
Sarah              50
Jas.(james)     15
             
        Ages were rounded down to nearest 5 yrs in 1841cens.

Many thanks Jackie for your kindness in doing the lookup for me.

Yes that is them, but i cant find edwards birth/christening or who he married or if there where other children.  Looks like there was more than one marriage.

The search continues, and its getting harder now because i am so far away.

NO OTHER CHILDREN AND EDWARDS AGE, I HAVENT FOUND ANY OTHER CHILDREN FOR HIM.

Hello Jen

  What were the names of James's children, as they tended
to be named after siblings -siblings after aunts + uncles.

Possible that James(1822) was last of the bunch.

OK James and his 2 wives (Mary Westwood) and Eliza Cartwright) had - James 1846 John 1848 Joseph 1851 Alice 1854 Ebenezer 1855 Mary Ann 1857 Sarah 1859 Alfred 1861 (my link-gggrandfather)  Hannah Maria 1863 and ALbert 1870.

He married Eliza in 1857 and Mary was in 47/48 off the top of my head!  Some of these children are Mary's, some are born in her maiden name prior to there marriage.

There could be more children but these are all i have found so far.
