Can anyone help,I'm trying to establish when a photo was taken it says it was done by J Brightman 14 Edward St Sheerness.

I can recommend a book by Jayne Shrimpton, "Family Photographs & How to Date Them", published this year.   I attended a talk she gave a few months ago at the Soc'y of Genealogists and the small details that she finds in photos enabled her to date some of mine to within a couple of years.

Thanks for that Barry I have managed to find out it must have been taken after 1901 I will try and get myself a copy.
