Hi
Still trying to sort out my Underwoods.
Can anyone see a burial for Margaret UNDERWOOD 1670 onwards please?
The story is a Margaret LEE married a Thomas UNDERWOOD in Maulden 6 April 1670. There don't appear to be any children for this couple in Maulden nor a burial or remarriage for Margaret - I do however have an 'extra' Thomas buried 5 May 1729. There are a clutch of children in Clophill from Oct 1670 to 1689 father Thomas which would fit nicely but I suspect they may belong to Thomas and Mary nee Palmer married in Campton 3 April 1670. The only possibly remarriage I can see for a Margaret UNDERWOOD is not until 1727 in Milton Bryant - not very likely but not impossible.
Any thoughts welcome
Thanks in advance Jan

Hi Jan
The only Margaret burial before 1737 was at Southill on 7 Oct 1705, but she was wife of John. The next was 5 Apr 1737 at Ampthill

Hi David
Thanks for looking. I suppose 5 Apr 1737 at Ampthill could be the one - certainly worth holding on file.
Anyone around who could check the Ampthill transcriptions for any further detail please?
Hi Tazzie
I've linked Clophill/Pulloxhill/Maulden as far as 1708 baptism of George in Maulden parents Thomas and Elizabeth, but then...... they are all called Thomas
Ah well ...
