1841 Census check - Edmund HEDGES

Good afternoon,

I would be grateful if anyone could give me the details of the 1841 Census return for:

Edmund HEDGES born 1782 Faringdon (he died in 1842 so he should figure in 1841): Profession = Tailor
Elizabeth (née CLARK) (I would be interested to know if she is recorded as being born in Faringdon or elsewhere)

Edmund & Elizabeth had at least 3 chidren: Elizabeth b. 1807; Charles b. 1809; Edmund b. 1811 but I would imagine that none of them were at home in 1841 - although you never know !

Hello Nick

I can find only one Edmund Hedges in Berkshire

HO107 P. 18/2 Fol. 10 Pg. 14

It is a truely appalling image, faded to almost nothing in most parts; I've looked at Antry and FMP - neither have managed to retrieve much.

They are living in Great Farringdon.

Edmund 55 Occupation illegible
? ? Female 55
Mary 20
? ? Female 15
Alfred possible 10
A male child aged 6.

The 15 year old female may be Sarah, the 6 year old may be Daniel Child.

All born county - no actual places of birth are given on the 1841.
