Llanelidan Church
« on: Thursday 03 July 08 18:59 BST (UK) »

I am planning to visit Llanelidan Church to view headstones of my ancestors and to possibly view death records that I believe are still within the Church. I understand I would need to get in touch with the Vicar of the Church to ask for permission to view the documents . Could someone possibly inform me of an address and also if possible the name of the Vicar of Llanelidan Church today please. I have tried to look through GENUKI but must have missed some info.
Many thanks
Kind Regards

Thanks for that Ian,
I have just sent off an e-mail to the Reverend Davies, so hopefully will have a good result.

Hi Trish,
I am really looking forward to browsing through some Cemeteries. I don't go home very often - or not often enough. I'm going to grill my mam to see if she knows where George Jones is buried. If I see any of my relations who are descendans of Owen Arthur and Mary are there any questions you'd like me to ask?  I shall also be visiting Llanfwrog, Llangwm, Ruthin, Clocaenog if you want any pics.

Best wishes

Still trying to pin down Mary Evans' family so if you come across anything there I'd be grateful! Have fun!

Where is the Mary you looking for from? I know it is a common name I thought I may be able to help because I have the Evans and Jones in my tree?  I Know it is a long shot but stranger things have happened?

Hi Family digger,
Mary was born in Trawsfyndd. The only birth I can find appears to be reg Harlech so I don't know if its her and without parents names I wouldn't know if I had the right cert or not. I found a family that I thought was hers (Mary born Harlech) in Nant y Celyn. I know Mary lived a lot of her life in Clocaenog and married Owen Arthur Jones. Its just her life before marriage that I am struggling with.

Hi Lynn,
Any input is gratefully received. The reason why I want to see the actual burial registers is that we have a discrepancy maybe on my gggrandmother's headstone. The date on the headstone is that she died in 1902, but there is no death recorded in 1902 and the only other close dates of 1901 and 1903 have different ages to what we believe her to be - going by the census! I am visiting my family in North Wales next week so will be spending at least one full day in Ruthin archives. I have a 9 year old daughter who has no interest whatsoever in my hobby yet so she gets bored easily.

Kind regards

Hi Trish,
If you want to save some money, let me have the details and I'll have a look when I go to the Archives if you like. I'm sure they would have the Trawsfynnydd records there won't they  Huh I think I'll need to spend a week there at least to try and fit all my family in - I have so many I can't find details for. All good fun
