Jack Williams - born early 1900"s
« on: Wednesday 09 July 08 22:56 BST (UK) »

Hello , I'm searching for Jack Williams, born early 1900's, who visited his uncle Roland Higgins in Canada in the late 1920's.  I'm trying to pin down where my gt.grandfather, Roland, came from.  My mother thinks it was Shropshire and she recalls a nephew, Jack, visiting Roland  when she was a young girl.  If you have a WILLIAMS/HIGGINS connection in your family tree, please let me know so I'll know if I am searching for ancestors in the right part of England.

hello suz...I've got roland higgins in a family in the 1881 census -EDGEMOND   , father william 38, mother martha 34 bn  in SALOP, roland 10, william 8, george 6, henry 5, edward 3, mary  9 months, and then again in the 1891 census with an additional chils hANNAH bn 1882 which matches up with family knowledge because we know he talked about a younger sister hannah who stayed in england and never married.  I'm almost positive this is the correct family but I wanted to see if I could make one more connection and that would be with this JACK WILLIAMS person who came to visit in canada when my mom was  just a child.  I think he might be the child of roland's only other sister, MARY, bn 1881.  I'm just trying to confirm from a different angle.
