I'm really appreciate if anyone could throw some light on the DICKINS family of Stewkley for me.

I have found Francis DICKINS, in the census records for Newton Longville. He was born in Stewkley about 1812. I already have some of the Stewkley DICKINS family in my tree and feel sure he is connected.

If anyone has access to the Stewkley PRs and could look up a baptism around this time I would be most grateful.

Hi Heatha,

the IGI familysearch.org has a baptism for a Francis Dickins extracted from parish records:
     Birth 22 Feb 1812      bapt 31 Jan 1813      Great Horwood, Bucks
     Father    Robert Dickins         Mother Kitty
also with same parents
Thomas Dickins b. 10 Aug 1815   bapt. 20 Aug 1815      Great Horwood

Great Horwood is about 6 miles from Stewkley I think

   Hi Heatha......

  Is this Francis  who is a carrier in 1851 married to Mary Ann poss Arnold.

  Ok if so his father is listed as John in 1851.

  I have Stewkley Dickins as do a couple of others on here I will have to fish  my notes out on them so bear with me.

   Hang on .......  John & Esther are listed as having a son Francis on IGI a member sub but most of their family on here are ..

  I will check for more and get back to you.

   Yes Francis Dickins was the son of John Dickins and Esther/Hester nee Stevens.

he was baptised Aug 25 1811.
  parents married 14 Sept 1797 Stewkley.
    witnesses Rob.Roe     & William Stevens
