Parish Registers.
« on: Sunday 06 July 08 13:35 UTC (UK) »

Hi,
I'm trying to find info on Sarah Orange, baptised (Roman Catholic) in Mountmellick c. 1837. Her mother's name was Mary, but I'm afraid I don't know her father. She had at least 2 brothers; James born c. 1827 and Edward, born c. 1829 (maybe their baptisms might also be recorded).
Many thanks for anything at all.

You can search LDS catalogue (www.familysearch.org) to see if they've miccrofilmed the church records. If so, you can order them from your local LDS library for a small fee to be viewed there.

Richard Orange,Clonmore,Rathdowney,Co.Laois is the only entry in Griffiths for Co.Laois circa 1849. Such an unusual surname has got to be connected to your ancestor. If you look in Eircom Phonebook on line you will find that the name exists today in Dublin,Kildare and Wicklow only,a total of six entries .Should be worth a postcard.Bill
