I'd like to request a look up of one (or two) baptismal records.
The first is that of Thomas Tickell who was baptised on 9 June 1707, St Peter, Droitwich, the son of George and Elizabeth. I'm hoping the record will tell me something about his father.
The second is tougher. I took notes from the IGI when I had access to the microfiches. Years later I discovered that the first page of my notes in the folder had somehow been ripped out and lost. When I went back to get the information again on familysearch I found that I couldn't find one of the baptisms, the one of the first child of George and Elizabeth. Not only that but I can't remember the name of that child.
George and Elizabeth were married in 1689 and their second child was baptised in 1694 in Droitwich, so the first baptism occurred in that five year period. All of their children were baptised in either St Andrews, Droitwich or St Peters, Droitwich, and I do remember that first child being baptised in that city. Sorry to be so vague, but now that I'm starting to trace my family tree again this missing child is gnawing at me, especially since if I hadn't been so careless he or she wouldn't be lost!
Thanks in advance

I found the website for the IGI batch numbers and I found my missing child, under Tukle! He was Thomas son of George baptised on 02 JAN 1695 (so later than I assumed) at Saint Peter, Droitwich. So, if anyone could look that up for me I'd be grateful.

Thanks, Jim. Those are from searching the IGI indexes, right? I've got all of those, and a lot more, but I'm unable to get to a lds family history library (no car) and I live in Australia. so I'm hoping to get someone to view a few of the transcripts of the original records of at least Thomas (my direct ancestor) and see if that tells me any more about the family.

Very useful, the IGI. I just wish the records were more complete. It appears that the lds just got the indexes up to a certain point and then abandoned it, not to mention the inaccuracies. There's a couple of Tickell marriages in a gap in the records and one of my Tickells is listed under Tinkle. I think the problems happened when it was put online, since there are some mistakes that I don't remember appearing on the old microfiches.

Hi,
What I find bad about the IGI, is the amount of submitted entries which can be very miss leading.

Yeah, I've heard a few things about incorrect entries being submitted and then the lds people refusing to correct them.
