Philip Badier was a photographer in Newtown, 1800s. His photographs are now popping up on the net.

I believe the 1 st photo here is of his sister, Marie. The child also looks like a family member.

There is also one at the Power House Museum.

Philip was the brother of my paternal Great Grandmother. He came to Australia, from New Zealand and was born in Jersey.

I have details of him once here, but I would love to know when and how he - and his sister's Ada and Marie - arrived in Sydney from NZ. This is my only missing link on the Badier family. Cry

Hi Lu,

This one is here for a very different reason. It is about the availability of the photos, on line. It has been posted for a distant relative with whom I have lost a contact number. I'm hoping she sees it, as Marie, who I believe is in the photo is actually her Great Grand mother. Marie is the sister of my Great Grandmother.

I added the bit on the end about finding them, just as an aside.
