I am looking for a marriage for John Boothman who married a Miss Broadhurst in Lancashire around 1800.
We think John Boothman was born around 1779 so assuming he was married around age 20.
In 1802 he was charged with embezzlement and transported to Australia in 1803 with the Collins expedition to Sorrento (later to become Victoria), when that settlement failed he was moved to Hobart Town in Tasmania.
By then his name is John Broadhurst Boothman and I'm led to believe that he adoped his middle name to remember his wife. I am looking for some evidence that this was the case.

Clarence, England then Australia from 1912. Copeland, England. Lascelles / Lovett / Stevens, England. Langford, England (Reading and Southampton). Kipp / Rigbye / Randall, Germany then Victoria, Australia from 1849. Boothman / Clifford / Marsden / Johnston in Australia
Many thanks Wozzle. He re-married in Tasmania and had nine children, naming his last child Elizabeth.
I assume Manchester Cathedral is in Lancashire.
