Switching off a notification
« on: Thursday 10 July 08 10:03 BST (UK) »

When I click on the 'Show new replies to your posts' link at the top of the web page, there are often threads listed which no longer interest me and certainly not threads that I started.

Furthermore, none of the threads are listed under Notifications in my profile.

Can anyone please tell me how to switch off these notifications?

Thank you, Justin

You cant !

The logic applied is 'Did you ever post in the thread' - when you click on 'New Replies' Link ......

Notifications feature is just for email alerts .....

I should have trawled through the other postings first, as this seems to a common unsolveable complaint.

As other rootchatters have said, it dampens the enthusiasm to reply to some threads.
