Can anyone help me please . i am looking for the birth place of Robert Rand . who became master of the workhouse in 1735. the job was contracted out by the parish. he would have been born about 1710. (he would have to be at least 21 years old to get the job). there are no records of the workhouse from that time. my g g g g grandfather was born in the workhouse in 1762. his son married Robert's great grandaughter in 1826. where can i look for his birth . susyswan.

It might be worth asking the OFHS to do a search of their Baptism Index (1538-1837) - full details can be found on their website at www.ofhs.org.uk (go to "Search Services").
