Marrle - hi

Since all the children's baptisms give the parents and Joseph and Sarah, I would think the liklihood must be that Joseph Burrows was her first husband, even allowing for the vagiaries of the IGI - all the baptisms were extracted.

It is possible that the marriage Jackie found may be the correct one, with Sarah's name mis-transcribed  Huh

To be more certain of her maiden name, the birth certificate of Richard would confirm :  Richard Burrows Q2. 1838  Prescot  Vol. 20 Pg. 651

Thanks to you all, looked at the Lancs OPC the marriage of Joseph Burrows wife is Sarah Bridge somehow dont think it has been transcriped wrong, I think Bridge and Sarah, maiden name Brierley are to far apart but I could be wrong, dont think me relative would be inclined to send for a cert, so think will have to leave this one unless new evidence comes to light.

I really appreciate everyones help on this site over the last few weeks.

Margie.
