hello

i am looking for the marriage of edward hawkins to ann? ?
they had a daughter -emma- about 1821 in thorpe (who married and lived in egham)
any info on 'the hawkins' would be gratefully received!

Hello

The only Edward Hawkins who married an Ann according to the Surrey Marriage Index was

Edward Hawkins and Ann Bright

on 23 June 1799 at Petersham but is this too early?

No indication that emma's father (at baptism) was declared as Edward is there?

There was no father's name recorded in the baptism transcript - this tends to point to an illegitimate birth.  She may have made up the father's name when she got married.

I've looked in the Poor Law Index but cannot see anything relevant.  There was an Emma mentioned but she was 6 in 1842.
