Hi JulzDS The 'Highland Family History Society' may be able to help you. They published the MI's for Old Churchyard, Avoch. I did double check the entries for Munro but can't see the burial you're after in Avoch.

Hi Julz
I've got the book of MIs from Suddie Burial Ground (produced by the Highland Family History Society).
I've checked the entries and unfortunately there's not a Robert Munro, James Munro or a Mary Ann McFarquhar listed.
Just in case they might be elsewhere in the area, I've also checked the MI books for Kilmuir Burial Ground and Killearnan Churchyard and this family isn't listed in these either.
Sorry I can't be of more help. Lynn

Hi
Can anyone help me with Suday Burial Ground which I think might be Suddie Burial Ground. 3 x Great grandfather Kenneth Stewart died in Charleston, in the parish on Knockbain, County of Ross on June 21, 1860. His death was registered by his son Thomas. His death certificate indicates he was buried in Suday Burying Ground.
Kenneth was a carpenter, cartwright and innkeeper. All of his sons were carpenters. Stewart has been spelt Stuart also on some documentation but on his death certificate and in the census from 1841 onwards, it has been spelt as Stewart.
Thank you. agj183

Dear Chortlegirl
Hi I don't know how to reply to you ......I'm new to Roots so this is probably the best way to respond. Thank you. I think there's a fair chance that Kenneth Stewart is the headstone that had departed this life 27 June 1860. Do you think the spelling Suday is Suddie (from the death certificate).
Now I suppose I better try and find out which member of the family died in 1872! I think his wife was dead unless he married a second time.
Thank you very much for your help. Kind regards AGJ.

Hello
I have come across your query by mistake and the reply shich you have got for Suddie burial Ground. I can tell you that if the grave the other person refers to is the same then there is also a reference to another unkown person name not given in the same grave as having died - 19th ??1872. - Might be the one you are looking for.

Hi
Can anyone tell me whether there's an MI for a Donald (Daniel) Urquhart or Grace Urquhart at Suddie? Grace died 1858 and Donald (Daniel) died between 1840 and 1852.
Thanks very much!
