I have been trying to find a marriage for william collings and an elizabeth have searched between 1827 to1831 I can find no marriage to an elizabeth i have found a grace ,kezia,jane ,agnus,margaret and a sarah none of these in pelynt
once again need help please if possible

Hi Lynne,
I've checked the marriages & Banns for Pelynt but there is no sign of them.

If you bear with me I'll check my Plymouth CDs, it wasn't uncommeon for people from Pelynt & surrounding parishes to cross into Devon to Plymouth. Stoke Damerel Church, in particular was very popular.

I think I have found them:

William Collings/Elizabeth Northcott 5 Sep 1829 St George's, East Stonehouse

Children baptized at Pelynt:
John Collins 24 Apr 1831
William Northcott Collins 4 May 1834
Elizabeth Collins 26 Mar 1837 (Elizabeth had an illegitimate son Charles Henry bap. 23 Dec 1857)
Richard Collins 26 Apr 1840
Louisa Collins 1 Apr 1846
Albert Collins 27 Feb 1850
James Collings 6 Mar 1854

Albert  died 6 Mar 1927 Devonport, Devon & is buried at Pelynt. He married Ann Libby (bap.14 Sep 1851 at Pelynt) on 30 Mar 1872 at Pelynt. Ann died 19 Feb 1915 & is buried at Pelynt. I have info on their children.

Hi Sue you are a star ,elizabeth had an illegitimate son charles 1857 while she was married to william o dear me ,
do you know the name northcott rings a bell for some reason maybe in one of the census with the rundles I will have to have a look
any info you have I would be very grateful for please If It Is not to much trouble once again thank you so much for the help you have given me

I'll do what I can with the Rundles.

BTW Charles Henry was the grandson of William & Elizabeth. His mother was the Elizabeth Collins/Collings baptized on 26 Mar 1837.

I've just noticed that part of the 1861 census entry was missing. here is the full household:

Unfortunately I haven't transcribed the burials for Pelynt prior to 1876 so I can't give you a burial date for Elizabeth Sr.

noticed 1851 census has william collings as 43 born abt 1808
1861 census age 60 born about 1801 I have found a william collins bap 23 nov 1800 pelynt father john collins mam elizabeth It was the only william I could find pelynt abt that time could this be the right one
found two elizabeth northcott pelynt one 1811 dad william mam sarah the other one 1807 dad thomas mam mary If I look for the death of elizabeth williams wife It was before 1861 after 1851 will It give her age

Another Elizabeth Northcott married Jonathan Stephens at Pelynt on 11-Jul 1829, the witnesses look to be
In 1851 she & Jonathan are in St Veep & her age is 43 giving a birthdate of c.1808 so not a great deal of help.

Hi Sue this is the info I have on rundles going back to 1760
john rundle born 1839 pelynt his father samuel rundle born duloe 1808 samuel married grace barrett in 1832 grace was born st veep 1810 graces father was john barrett mam grace bennett
samuel born 1808 his father was daniel rundle born 1760 died age 67 in 1827 he married elizabeth white nee jago widow in 1804 I think elizabeth was married to a george white in 1795 george I think died in 1801 after there son george white born 1801 ,
