Hi again,

I am trying to find a bit of information about the two couples listed above.

Firstly, Hugh McCUTCHEON and Martha AULD. They married 17 Jun 1779, Stoneykirk, Wigtown. I have no idea when Hugh was born or where, but Martha was born 1769, Stoneykirk also. I don't have either of their deaths.

I would like to know if any of their children, and their death/burials can be located. I have already searched SP OPR, 1841/1851 census, and rootsweb Scottish D-Gtranscriptions and have had no luck so far...where else can I look?

They did have one daughter, Susan McCUTCHEON, b 1801, Wigtown. She married Robert NEIL, also born 1801, Wigtown, (1841 census). Married 1832, Wauch Mill, Sorbi Wigtown, where daughter, Martha b. 1835 was born. Other known children were Hugh, 1838, Wigtown; and William, 1838.

Susan went on to die in Kilmarnock, 1856. Not sure where or when Robert died/buried. I do know it was before 1862, Martha's wedding year.

This brings me to my second plea - is there anyway of finding Roberts birth/death, because no dates are listed on his marriage cert of 1832, nor his parents.

I hope that someone can point me in the right direction because SP is not giving me any joy at this stage of the game Smiley
