Mary Kenny born c.1841
« on: Wednesday 16 July 08 22:23 UTC (UK) »

I have been trying unsuccessfully to try and find out where in Queens County/Laois Mary Kenny came from. On various English census returns and her wedding certificate it states she came from Queens County.
She arrived in England between 1869 and 1871. It seems she was married and was called Barron/Barran/Barnen [although i believe it was Barron] and had three children, Mary b.1865, James b.1867 and Edward b.1869. Mary remarried to Patrick O'Neil/O'Neill in 1871 at Esh in County Durham, England. On the wedding certificate Mary said her fathers name was James Kenny [deceased] from Queens County and Patrick said his father was John O'Neill [deceased] and said she was a widow.
My problem is that i have come up against a brick wall in Laois, i'm not even able to find out where in the county they were from !
So the names i am looking for are O'Neill, Kenny and Barron. Any information anyone is able to provide would be greatly received.
Thanks,
Kevin.
