Death or marriage registration for Mary Hawkes after 1861 in Redditch area

My 2xgreat grandparents were Mary Davis and Henry Hawkes who married in 1836 at Tardebigg, Worcs.

I have found their family in Redditch on the 1841 and 1851 censuses.

Henry died in 1852 and I have a death certificate for him.

On the 1861 census Mary (widow) and 3 of her younger children were still in Redditch.

I have been able to track the children, but can find no trace of Mary Hawkes after the 1861 census. I have checked death registrations under different spellings of Hawkes. I have also searched to see if she re-married after Henry died but can find no marriage.

Perhaps a new pair of eyes could search for what I have been unable to find please.

The registration districts for Redditch at this time were Bromsgrove and Alcester.

There is this one, Dec QTR 1861.
Mary HOWKES. Bromsgrove. 6c 221.

This looks very promising Jim. Thank you so much. I have tried a huge variation of the surname to search for her, but hadn't thought of Howkes! I have just searched on ancestry for a Mary Howkes and there's only one entry - the death record you found so it looks like it's her. I will send for this certificate.

I have been searching for this one for ages. Very much appreciated Jim.

Oops! Wrong certificate. I was so sure this was going to be Mary Hawkes.

This certificate was for Mary Fowkes, not Howkes/Hawkes. It looks like Howkes on the entry for name and surname, but husband's name (wife of John Fowkes) clearly starts with an F.

Back to looking for Mary Hawkes again.
