Can anyone help me with this person?  Elizabeth Stephenson (nee Roy) born 1812 in Etton, Yorkshire died 1887 Beverley, Yorkshire.  As far as I know she married Thomas Stephenson on 2 August 1824 but I don't know his date of birth.  She had a daughter called Jane born 1825 Etton died 1909.  Jane married a William Tinson b 1826 in Pocklington, Yorks died 1891 in Pocklington.  They had a son George Tinson (does go by name of George Stephenson as his son was my grandfather Jesse Stephenson born 1886 in York died 1961 in York).

Can anyone give me anymore information on this family.  George Stephenson married Margaret Jessie Waldie she was born in 1850 in Hull, Yorks but I don't know when she died.  Jesse was one of many children...Charles Waldie Tinson, another George Tinson (known as Pat), William Tinson, John and Maggie were born in Canada there was also a Minnie Tinson.  Ernest Tinson was my grandfathers brother who owned a builders firm in Pocklington and I believe the Tinson family still do.... My mother was the daughter of Jesse Stephenson and Annie Elizabeth Culkin.  I would be grateful if anyone could give me anymore information... Thanks

Janis,  I am sorry that I can't give you any info you seek but may i make a suggestion that may pay off?
if you go to the bottom of this page you'll see a link to "Your Surname Interests".  If you entered your surnames there it may lead you to someone else searching for your lot... and there even may already be there a fewwlo searcher.

I've found it worth doing.

Probably covering old ground here, but the marriage is shown as an extracted record on the IGI. Marriage is 2 Aug 1824, South Dalton, Yorks.

It may be worth posting a lookup request on the Yorkshire board to see if the groom is of the same parish, in which case he may have been born there. Also, have you checked the census records, which may give a timeframe of 10 years when he died. You could then check the death certificate which would give you his age.
