Can anyone help me I am a little confused with this marriage.
Someone as contacted me and told me that Elizabeth Cox born 1812 Ropsley married William Eden born Ropsley 1804.
I wondered if anyone is going to Grantham library and could look for me please.

Elizabeth Cox is the sister of my William Cox and he married Ann Eden on 2nd Dec 1834.
I wonder if this is the same family. It would be interesting to find this out.

Elizabeth Cox bap 24 Feb 1812 d/o Thomas & Elizabeth,
and William Eden bap 1 Feb 1804 s/o Thomas & Ann,
married 13 Jan 1835 in Ropsley.

William Cox bap 18 Apr 1802 s/o William & Elizabeth.
Ann Eden not showing Ropsley baps.
Eden clan showing Elizabeth, John, Joseph, Mary Thomas & William

  Thankyou for this information now I understand. William and Elizabeth have got different parents . They must still be my relatives. May be they were cousins.
I wish I could find this out.
Will Williams Marriage be at the Li bury?
Ann Did Come from Ropsley and I have been told they married there too.
Is there a way to find out Williams siblings?

No other baps for issue of William & Elizabeth in Ropsley or Beltisoe deanery 1754-1812 so either out of Deanery or maybe non conformist.

Hi Naffie Girl

When Elizabeth Cox & William Eden married 13/Jan/1835 the witnesses were William Cox & Sarah Allen.

When William Cox & Ann Eden married 2/Dec/1834 the witnesses were (?Susan)Nixon & George Ramsden.

Also found at same time Henry Cox & Ann (?T)ilson(widow)16/Dec/1834 the witnesses were Sarah Storer & James Sharpe.

Info from Ropsley Parish records in Grantham Library

There was also William COX to Sarah BARBER at Ropsley 21 May 1825.

Many thanks for all your help on the Cox family. I bet there was lots of them and I will have to try and sort them all out.

I have just been looking at my tree and found Ann Eden was baptized on 15th July 1811 at Ropsley. She may have been a lot older than William or got baptized late.
