Please can someone help with the following:-

Thomas Nixon b 1798 Corby
m Margaret b 1799 in Scotland - 1841 census please - also

I would like to know the date of their marriage
they have 8 children eldest being Thomas Sutherland Nixon b 1824 Middlesex.

Many thanks Jackie for the info you gave me,

Would it be too much trouble to let me have their address in 1841 and a
list of the children's names.  I think the boys have the Sutherland as
their middle name, and as my cousin in Australia is also researching this line I can fill him in - & hopefully impress him!! Grin

I have been on the Scotland with a post about Margaret Sutherland, and it seems that she was born there - writing was poor - as was her son Thomas .
Just thought I'd let you know.

Just to clarify, I think that Margaret was b. Scotland. The 1841 is more S-like than I-like and subsequent censuses all show her as b. Scotland.

Son Thomas is a bit more complicated. The 1841 looks very much like an I and there's no sign of a bpt. for him in Scotland 1822-26 . Is it worth following him up on later censuses?

No I don't think its worth  its bothering any more on Thomas birth - got
most of info on him later.

Just been looking at the Scotland map for Sutherland - a long was off

There were Sutherlands everywhere, Margaret.  I'll send you a shortlist  Smiley

I once had a tutor who was a Sutherland but he was born in Wales  Grin Grin Grin
