Thanks for your quick reply.  I will do that.  We haven't gotten as far as finding baptism records, just dates and places from census reports.  I can't find Annie Teresa's birth/christening at all to confirm her birth date which ranges according to different census in England and death record from 1887 to 1891!
Her mother Teresa Dowling died reportedly in 1891.  I'll keep searching.

Denis Dowling and Teresa Murphy's marriage is recorded in the GRO index for the year 1876 at Baltinglass Vol.17 Page 469. Presuming they were Catholic the marriage would have taken place if in Co Kildare, at Crookstown which is in the registration district of Baltinglass. Denis and Teresa are also probably buried in Crookstown Churchyard, alas the burial registers have gone missing after a former priest allowed someone to borrow them and were never returned.
