Hi Sue
It might be that the index is wrong - spellings etc.
On SP, use the parish info and a broad age range and wildcards (*) or soundex for surnames and only the first couple of letters for the firstname.
If you put up the details that you are searching for here, I'm sure one of us could check for you

1901
there is a David Fraser, aged 56 and Rose Ann. aged 46 in Dalziel - 639 ED 28 page 29
1891
also there David aged 44 - 638 page 18 Page 23
I used Fra*er and Da, an age range, Lanarkshire and Dalziel
I didn't use Rose Ann or Roseann as a second person.

Hi Sue
What was father John's occupation on the certs. I've found a possible family on the 1861 but the mother's name is Bridget. Could be that her mother died but I want to make sure before I do more searching.

So far none of the elder girls are showing in Renfrewshire - where they Roman Catholic as registration didn't begin until 1855 so they might not show up if they were.
Do you have any definite siblings for her?
I'll see what I can find on the 1871.

It might be that there isn't a baptism record for her. Not all were recorded, some are missing, etc.
Have you looked for a possible marriage of John Docherty to a Campbell?
The marriage cert is usually the most accurate because she would have given her mother's name. The death cert. name would have been 'remembered' by someone of at least one remove.
