When you say you have 'looked everywhere' do you mean you have gone through the FULL death indexes quarter by quarter up to, say, 1971 when she would be 100? That is what you need to do, I am afraid, if you havent done it!
And of course, she could easily have remarried after William's death in 1921....
deaths are notoriously difficult to find. Can you narrow down the time at all - e.g is she named in anyone's will, a witness on anyone's marriage etc etc

Hi thanks for the reply, I have been to the library and been on the Ancestry site, typed in her name with varients but nothing, been on the uk bmd site and looked there too, I dont think she remarried, the story goes that she committed suicide after Williams death ( but thats not really confirmed) I really need some new ideas on what to do now. I dont think this lady wants to be found!

Aha - sounds like you just used the partial database - which fades out around 1920-30 ish
The only way is to look through each quarter for each year for her on the complete index. This is not a database, so it wont just pop up the findings for you, you look through each quarter the same way as if it were in a book. Takes a while, but hey, that's the way it goes - this never was an 'instant' hobby - dont believe anyone that says it is! Just 'cos some things are now on the net in database form tends to 'spoil' us and we find it a hassle when we have to use something that isnt .... but I am so ancient I can remember when nothing was indexed or online!!
By the way, welcome to Rootschat - a brilliant place where you will find lots of willing helpers!

I have had a stroke of luck with eliza, I have found out that she was buried on 7th August 1926 in Birmingham. I have checked the net and still cant find her death! could anyone PLEASE tell me how to find this death. I really want to know the cause of death as I was told (but not confirmed) that she committed suicide. would this fact make a difference on how I need to look for her death? also can someone please explain what a PUBLIC GRAVE is, the cemetary said she was in a public grave and there was no headstone, was there a reason for a public grave. thank you so much .
