Marriage look up please - Blood

Hi everyone

Hoping someone can find a marriage for me please.  I've tried all places I know of
but have drawn a blank, so I'm hoping new eyes will help.

Hannah Emma Copnall born c1819 Derby  married Thomas Blood born c1818 Derby.
They arrived in Australia in July 1844 as a married couple so I'm assuming they married
prior to leaving England. No record of a marriage found in Australia for them.

I found a submitted entry on IGI which I haven't been able to confirm.

Hannah Copenall married Thomas Blood Mar 1844
Burton Upon Trent Derby

I'd be grateful for any help with this.

Do I have the correct person when I say that her mother is called Mary Wheeldon and father called George?
I just want to make sure. before I go down that avenue,
She was christened in  19 OCT 1818   Edlaston, Derby, England

and Thomas BLOOD and Hannah WHEELDON share a marriage ref in Burton on Trent Mar Q 1844  Undecided

Could be something in it.

I really can't confirm what my Hannah's parents names were but I'm assuming they were Copnall/Copnell.
Her parents names are unknown on her death certificate and
on her children's birth certificates, no more details other than her
name ( Hannah) and their fathers name and occupation (Thomas-farmer).
On Thomas Bloods death certificate it states
Father - James - farmer  Mother-Mary Brian
b c1819 Derbyshire.
Married Hannah Copna/ell when he was 25 years (=c1844)

Thanks for that information.  Not sure that it belongs to my family yet,
but I'll keep it in my notes.  You just never know when I might need it  Smiley

I think I may have found Hannah and Thomas on 1841 census living at Foston, Scropton, Derbyshire.

Hannah is 15 (ages rounded down in 1841) a female servant in the household of Thomas MOORE farmer and Thomas BLOOD age 20 is next door a male servant in the household of Joseph MELLABY farmer.  Both Hannah and Thomas were born in the county of Derbyshire.

Class: HO107; Piece 182; Book: 2; Civil Parish: Scropton; County: Derbyshire; Enumeration District: 8; Folio: 16; Page: 18.

Doesn't help much with the marriage but thought it may be of interest  Wink

Going back to the marriage I found, Foston & Scropton come under the Burton on Trent registration district and it makes me wonder if it could be them.  Hannah may have been born before her parents married in which case she could have married under her mother's maiden name - possibly Wheeldon.  I have certainly had cases of this in my family.

Maybe someone could do a look up of the Foston & Scropton marriage register for you to check it out.

Just thought I'd come back to thank you for your suggestion that maybe
Hannah had married under her mothers maiden name.
I managed to find a marriage for Mary Wheeldon 1818 Edlaston Derby
to George Copnall Cheesy.which I'm now following through.
