Good morning.
im trying to find,rose and louie watling.
parents,arthur watling,born,1874,sydenham,lewisham,alice watling(maiden name,skinner),married,sept,1899.
i have found all their brothers,sisters,on,BMD,no sign of any births,marriages that i can find.
as far as mum knows,they were all born in sydenham,lewisham.
there was about 8 siblings,we have found their birth dates,between,1900,1917,all lewisham.
louie married,fredrick,surname?
rose married,surname,carleton(spelling)?
can anyone help me where can i look now,please.

you are a star,it did not cross my mind to look for other names.
mum only knew their names as,louie,rose.
a few months ago,i posted a topic on the watling family,if any one was searching the name.
im starting to research mums side of the family now.
she told me one of her dads sisters(lilian) was one of a twin,the other we think died at childbirth.
do you think i should go back to the original message,or can i carry on with 1 or 2 more questions here?

Louisa A Watling married Frederick W SMITH  in Lewisham, in March 1929 ref 1d page 1495.
I have done from 1920 to March 1929...will carry on looking for Rosina if I have time.

i am very sorry i have not replyed earlier.
The information you sent me on,lousia,rosina,rings a few bells with mum(she has told me to say thanks).
Everyone on rootschat has helped me with so much info,and a few tips on my research,BMD.
imust say iam still struggling to find individual details.
if you have time do you mind having a bash at these names?
arthur watling,1900,wifes name?,children,roy,pamela,born,1930s.
leonard watling,born,1906(bmd,mum thinks the year might not be correct),married,renee(spelling)?children,celia,derek,marion,born 1930s.
florence watling,1915,married,george,surname not known.
gladys,1917,married,george,surname unknown.no children,george was a POW,in japan,ww2.
there parents.
arthur watling,1874,alice skinner,1875,married,1899.
as far as mum knows,they were all born,sydenham,lewisham.

Unfortunately Watling is not that rare a surname,so there are a few marriages on Free BMD ( http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/) that could fit the bill.
If any of them had second initials that could clinch it and if we knew an exact DOB of any of the kids,it would be simple enough to cross reference marriages with the mothers maiden name.
Have you checked on Genes Reunited to see if anyone else is researching the same Watling family?
Will see if anything obvious pops up later.
There are two Leonard Watlings born in Lewisham about the right time.
Leonard Ernest in 1903 and Leonard Arthur in 1906.
Again if you knew when/where any of the above people died,that might be another way to confirm DOB's ( listed after 1969).

I have managed to find the marriage between Leonard E Watling and Alice I Pearce( the I probably stands for Irene) in Lewisham in June 1927.
I have found two of the children and will PM you the details as either or both may still be alive
