DURHEAD surname

Hi,

I have an Elizabeth DURHEAD who married Samuel CARVELL in Churchover, Warwickshire, in 1776. I'm posting this to the Leicesteshire list too, due to the location of the village and because the Carvell family lived on both sides of the county line.

I can find no other trace of the Durhead family name anywhere!!!!!  (The only other internet 'hit' is for a John Durhead, buried in the USA.) It's like it's a surname that doesn't exist.

Please does anyone have any suggestions as to where Elizabeth may have come from--or to alternate spellings of her name? (I have also tried Durhead.)
