Does anyone have access to marriage records for Weston Zoyland? I am trying to confirm the marriage between John Tazewell and Ann Gully on 21 November 1821. I think it was registered at Bridgewater but I am not certain of this. Also, if there is a note of John's parents.
Thanks Mary

Hi Louisamae
Thank you very much for the information - it certainly does help. I was totally confused as I had an Ann Underhill with a son George Tazewell and the only John of 1789 I had was the one who married Sarah and was living in Devon in 1851 - a Greenwich Pensioner. ( I dont know who he was!) I have taken some information from the family trees on ancestry.com but I know that some of these are incorrect so I do not like to rely on them without getting a 'second opinion'.
I also have a John Tazewell b 1812 Bridgewater. In 1841 he was a Bakers Apprentice living with John Darling of Wiltshire so I assume he was the son of William and Jane Darling. He married Avice Crease and in 1851 was living with her in Bridgewater and employed as a Baker. Can you confirm he was the son of William T and Jane Darling?
Regarding Rebecca the daughter of John T and Ann Gully. I have a Rebecca Pearson dob 1816 living in the same house as William T and Jane Darling in 1841. There is also a 7 year old Sarah Jane Neal (?) Rebecca married John Smith in 1846 and in 1851 was living with him and her two daughters from a previous marriage - Mary Ann Tazewell b 1839 and Sarah J Tazewell b 1844 a Nursemaid. (I think her dob should be 1834 - a bit young otherwise to be a Nursemaid!). I am wondering if this Rebecca is the daughter of John and Ann or William and Jane. Can you shed any light on this?
It is good to have information that has been sourced from parish records - so many thanks again.
Regards Mary

Hi Louisamae
This is really great - thank you so much for all the information. I was born in Bristol and came here to Australia in 1970. I don't think I had ever heard of Westonzoyland before I started researching this family - it certainly has a west country sound to it! Lucky you living there and I guess being able to look at the parish registers.
I will probably have some more queries and will take you up on your kind offer.
Regards Mary
