A link to the Assisted Shipping record at Qld archives...and there is a facility on the site to order copies of an entry AUD$15. It is a pdf file - George is listed at the bottom of Pge 71 - aged 21 arriving 13 Oct 1890 on the Merkara - the original listing may have more info as he was an assisted immigrant.

Hi Maryanne
The name of the parents of both of a married couple should definitely be on a 1900 marriage certificate. Unfortunately there is no online facility for purchasing Qld certificates. You can download an application form. http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/765.htm
As the marriage is more than 80 years old, you DO NOT need to supply identification information. If the staff argue this fact, refer them to ministerial correspondence and their own rules and regulations. Takes about 8 weeks to get a certificate (by which time you have forgotten you ordered it, so keep a record of same - folks have been known to order the same certificate twice).
Qld archives provide an excellent, speedy service.
Trish

Snail Mail UK/Australia takes about 1 week - so you can add 2 weeks to estimated delivery times! I think you used to be able to fax orders with credit card details, but I don't think you can do that any more. I believe the registry do now answer email queries, so you may like to contact them directly with any queries. Things are supposed to be improving - who knows.
The archives answer email reasonably quickly so you can query them as well if you require additional information. From UK the only sensible way to pay either is by credit card - unfortunately, I don't think there are online facilities for this.
