Strawbridges missing from scotlandspeople.

I have James Strawbridge, his wife Elizabeth  nee Macfadyen and 6 children
Agnes, Alexander, Elizabeth, Mary, Robert and William born between 1832 & 1841.(James, Ann & Phillip were born later).

The 1841 census gives their parish of birth as Stranraer.
James b.1807 - 1811 at Wigtown and Elizabeth 1805 at Stranraer.

I cannot trace the marriage c.1831 or the baptisms/births for any of these people.
Can anyone help please as I need parental information about James who  died pre 1851 and Elizabeth in 1854.

The MIs might be your best bet if you can't find them in the OPRs. There are a few people on rootschat who have access to the books for Wigtownshire. It might be worth posting a lookup request on one of those threads. You might get lucky and find James on the same headstone as his parents.

There are very few records showing for this surname. Do you know of any variations or mispellings?

I don't know if already have this but there is a couple having kids in Stranraer around that period:
Robert Strawbridge and Betty Hamilton. Only girls are showing on the IGI, maybe they only had girls, or maybe there is another of those strange gender gaps we sometimes see. Could be worth a look.
