There is a marriage registered in Ashbourne for 1st Q 1841
Robert Turner and Mary Dean.
I believe this could be the correct one as I have heard my Grandmother mention the name Dean.
I will see if I can find a Baptism for Mary Dean in Alfreton district.

I have found one in 1818 in Kirk Ireton. Do you know if that's anywhere near Alfreton?

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DBY/KirkIreton/index.html

This tells you about  Kirk Ireton.

I suspect that is the correct marriage....I must have missed it when I was searching.
