« on: Sunday 03 August 08 19:24 UTC (UK) »

Hi Folks,
Would like to find the marriage of Charles Ashwood= Elizabeth Dewbery 1818,  Joseph Ashwood=Mary Dewberry 1824.  If possible to aquire 1841 census for the above that would be brilliant.
Thanks in advance

Hi Ricky
You are good, this was a great long shot, I was able to confim Elizabeth was from Wood Walton. Also found out that Mary was to. They were sisters.
If you can pull another for Joseph or any more census info I will be on a winner.
Maybe they both married at Wood Walton.
Great stuff,
Thanks and regards,
Kovel.

The only James Dewberry and Sarah marriage in Hunts was the one in Godmanchester in 1803 that I've already posted details on your other thread

Hi David,
I was not sure if the Godmanchester request was for just Godmanchester and not the whole county. At this point may I ask a question, when it states on marriage, from the parish of: does that mean that its the parish where they are born or can it mean where they are living at that time.
James farther, Mark Dewberry married Catherine Askham
in 1787. Catherine was from Stibbington, I have been told that their marriage did not show in the N.M.I.
James two sisters were married in Hunts, I begining to think his farther also married in Hunts although they were born in Northants. Could I ask for a check on this possibility.
Thanks David you have been so helpful and patient with me.

The parish of residence on marriage is the parish where that party was resident AT THE TIME OF THE MARRIAGE, not the parish of birth.

Mark Dewberry widower married Catherine Askham at Sibson cum Stibbington in 1787

All of this marriage information is taken from Hunts marriage Index, which covers all parishes in Hunts.
