Morris St Issells
« on: Monday 04 August 08 14:32 UTC (UK) »

Hi,

Can anyone help me please with the death/burial of

William Morris bn c1785 St Issells who I have in 1841 and in 1851 age 85.

Ann(e) Morris, his wife bn c1799 and who I believe may have died June qtr 1896. I have her on all census including 1891 in St Issells.

Thanks
Rosie

I assume this is William Morris's burial:

1/12/1851 at St Issells church aged 86, residence Stepaside.

I can't see that Ann was buried at St Issells. Non-confirmity was strong in the area so she might have been buried at a chapel such as Sardis.  Getting the death certificate might be your best bet.

Hi Jon

Thank you very much , I would certainly think that it was Williams burial as they were at Stepaside.  I'll certainly seriously consider Annes death certificate for the answer, she was living with her daughter Elizabeth at Stepaside Rd, St Issells in 1891.  They are my 3 x gt grandparents.

Many thanks,
Rosie
