I am the GG Grandaughter of David Lovie who is listed in the 1841 census for Banffshire age 11 years old.

Does anyone happen to know the names of his grandparents? I know his mothers maiden name is Gow. James Lovie's father's name is John Lovie not sure of his wife.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You wouldn't happen to know when Hannah Lovie died? She was 35 on the 1841 census and then was not on the 1851 census.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works but I have James married to Catherine Findlay not Hannah, James died 17 Sep 1900 Whitehills, Catherine (Katie) died 15 Sep 1916 I have no listed Child named David for them.
James' parents on the cert are John Lovie and Mary Priest
