I googled an address in Toronto and found out quite a bit from the real estate agents ads about it... might be worth trying that if nothing else better comes up.

GoogleEarth says the distance between is 3.5 km but it didn't exactly follow a direct route so I would say the distance is actually much shorter - both are not far off Route 5.

If you use google maps, and hit "get directions"...just put the two addresses in and it gives you 2.2 k away! I love the feature....J.J.

GoogleEarth gave 3.5 km but looking at the route it was clear that they didn't use the most direct one so 2.2 km makes more sense.

If you do an image search for "Glenlake" at the Toronto Archives site, you will be able to see what the houses looked like.
http://www.toronto.ca/archives/photographs/index.htm
You could also try searching the Toronto Public Library for information on your family. http://digitalcollections.torontopubliclibrary.ca/webDC/index.jsp
Another site to try for information on your family, is Paper of Record. It's free to join and view the newspapers. http://www.paperofrecord.com

ricoba,
I've just seen your query.
I live very close to Glenlake Ave.
Send me a PM if you'd like me to go for a walk and take and email some digital photos.
Regards, Josephine
