Name of local church by Vicarage Road Watford.

Looking for my grandads grave but not sure where ill find him , they lived at the time in Vicarage Road Watford so im assuming that he'd be buried at the graveyard near this address , would anyone know of the named church for this graveyard ?

Hi Chelle

At a guess I would say that St Marys Parish Church is the nearest to Vicarage Road. It's certainly in the centre of Watford.

This will give you an idea of the churches in the Watford area.

The graveyard in Vicarage Road is a very large cemetery cared for by Watford council. I went there last year and could easily spend a week looking at all the graves. I believe it is set over 14 acres! I don't think it would have one named church. If you look up Watford Council website it gives you details of the cemetery and there is a number for the manager of this and North Watford cemetery. It might be an idea to give them a ring and see if they have a list of graves which would save alot of time.
