Hello everyone,
After several months I have finally found a new home for the Victorian Photos website that used to live on the Rootschat free webspace server. As you may know, that server has been out of commission for some time and because the Victorian Photos website was so popular, I've decided to put it back up online with a new address:
**PLEASE NOTE NEW ADDRESS AS OF 15 SEP 2008!**
http://freepages.misc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pruesfamily/index.html
Please visit the site and enjoy all the lovely old photos
Cheers Prue
P.S. A bit of background about the site is here: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,232465.0.html

Great stuff! Are you accepting more pictures? Sure am, Ostler - please send me a PM and let me know what you'd like to contribute
And thanks everyone else for the kind messages, I would have preferred to keep the site on Rootschat but it just doesn't look like it's ever going to happen, so I bit the bullet and am glad I did

You can just post here on the thread if you like! I don't think anyone will mind...and folks will definitely be interested I'm not out to prove you wrong, just interested in what others are able to pick up from these pics...I've looked at them so much that I can't see the wood for the trees, so to speak

Okay here's a couple to be going on with:(if i start to get boring, someone tell me please!! I can go on a bit!! Definite(?) Jerome Albulm "F.ELDERFIELD - ALDERSHOT 7" This just looks like such a typical baby PM pic to me, wrapped up and propped at angle. maybe Harris Albulm 004 What i thought were bows on shoulder actually looks like a pillow propping up child, the eyes look wrong, (painted on lids?) and the head and neck appear distorted as though maybe a head /neck brace being used. last one for now: iffy maybe!Unknown (UK pics) 037 The child on the left hand side of pic (older one) could be pm pic, the eyes seem very small for a young child,(again painted on lids?) and the other childs elbow appears to be digging in to ribs(to prop up?) the younger child also seems to be leaning into the older one for the entire length of her body (again to hold up?)
Feel free to disagree i've been looking at some old pics by e-mail with prop (mum to me!!) trying to see if we have any (she didn't think so but when i showed her some she changed her mind - think she thought they were all in coffin meant to ask!!) so i could just be "seeing dead people" everywhere so to speak!!!

Well, I'll give you the first one - that's a definite post-mortem
The other two I'd say are (or were ) definitely very much alive!
