Second impression: sounds like "moving stuff from A to B and then back to A" - If the stuff is on the web already, then we don't need to enter it here (i.e. the 1851 census excerpts here can be found all over the web) - If it not on the web already, then we are just transcribing and entering it on a relatively unknown site.
If you want to transcribe, then there are many well-known sites who would welcome your contributions - freeREG, freeCEN, freeBMD, County BMD sites (UKBMD) site, OPC sites, FH Societies, etc, etc, etc.)
I feel it would have more appeal, if it were to concentrate on particular themes, rather than just being a general "storage cupboard" For instance, stuff that isn't already on the web, and where there are no projects for putting it on the web.
