I have found edward in the 1881 Census living with his family after his wife died, the details are as follows:

Ed Atterby So U 18 Coach Smith Huntingdonshire
William Thomas Atterby So U 15 Hairdresser Huntingdonshire
Caroline Annie Atterby Da 3 Huntingdonshire
Sydney Herbert Atterby So 2 Huntingdonshire
His eldest son emigrated to the USA in1890 and I've found Edwards death 1908 in the Peterborough. Here's hoping someone can help.

That could be Annie and her brother William, and yes it was Edward senior that I was interested in. Edwaed junior went to the USA and I foun him with his family going in via castle Gardens in 1898.
