Looking for info on the following: William Colhoun - farmer in Curraghamilkin d.~1863. Married to Elizabeth Johnston. Had relatives Charles and George Colhoun, in Kirlish.
His son, William Colhoun b.1817 m. 1851 to Isabela Little, daughter of David and Jane Little of Bolaght (Ardstraw) in 1st Castlederg Pres., Ardstraw (Witnessed by Arthur Johnston and James Morris (neighbor of William) and d. 1883. Left Tyrone after father's death and moved to Glasgow. Had sister, Elizabeth, who married John Cather, shoemaker from Sixmilecross.
Any info on any of these families would be appreciated.

Welcome to Rootschat but to find more information on these families you will probably have to search for church records (if they exist).

Thanks. Already did that with Ulster Ancestors and got all I could (except for graveyard headstones, for which an online search came up empty).

Not sure what records would already have been checked but it is possible that the church records for the period you need just don't exist. Many people didn't have headstones or they didn't survive.

Thanks again. They did a thorough search of all that was available and found some marriages that were peripheral, but the births, deaths and baptisms for the period were in the 1922 fire. That's why I posted on the board. You never know.

Were the lost records from Church of Ireland? I know that many of them were earlier sent to Dublin for safekeeping and ended up detroyed in 1920s.
