I received wonderful help from Nell when earlier this year I enquired about my AYLWARD ancestors. Thomas bapt Stoughton, Sussex was son of Anthony AYLWARD and Martha SIMMONS who had married there 5 Oct 1743. Thomas married Sarah HARRISON in East Dean but according to the I.G.I. it was the one in Sussex. I now suspect that that is incorrect, because in 1841 he was in East Dean, Hants, and Sarah said she was born in Lockerley.
Can I now push my luck and ask you wonderfully helpful and generous people for look-ups for the marriage of Anthony's parents? His father, also Anthony, bapt Catherington 17 Jun 1668. And even grandfather Thomas AYLWARD bapt 24 Nov 1619 in Catherington. I believe Anthony bapt 1712 was child of his father's second marriage. Were any of these marriages in Catherington?
Any other information would be a bonus.
Many thanks, Sam.

Hi Sam,
I have found the following Marriage Licence - the IGI has a record of the marriage at St Thomas in Winchester on 3rd April 1711.
Anthony Aylward of Boldre, widower, husbandman and Mary Kitch spinster of Christchurch, 2 April 1711 - St Thomas

Nell,
Many thanks. Boldre is a fair distance from Catherington but nevertheless that would seem to be 'my' Anthony because he was not buried at Catherington, and the only likely candidate on the HBI was the Anthony, farmer, buried at Boldre 17 Apr 1729. Mary AYLWARD, presumably his widow, was also buried there 8 Nov 1730, but no other AYLWARDs, so he was not native of Boldre.
Once again, your prompt help is greatly appreciated.
All good wishes, Sam.
