Many thanks for those.
Did the Affidavits regarding death state where they died?

Margaret died approx 6 weeks before her 80th birthday, so guess he would have been of a similar age.
So maybe there wasn't an accident and it was a case of he "gave up" once she died......

I've come across that one month clause quite a few times before.
I think it's probably a standard one that most solicitors put in.

A lot of re-reading to do to take it all in.

Hi Bren,

Sorry - I didn't make a note of where they died but I think I would have noted it if the affadavits had said something other than Pleasant Point. Both were noted as being formerly of Cave, late of Pleasant Point.

Hi Bren,

Friends of ours have a farm just out of Pleasant Point - we visited last summer and it really is a pleasant spot - beautiful rolling hills. I remember driving through Cave too!

Been going back over the probates for William LITTLE that you did for me in January
And his wife Agnes LITTLE that Jean did for me in March and see that they were listed as “Timaru, formerly Cave”.
So it looks like two of the sisters (Agnes & Margaret) moved North to Cave with their husbands.
