re finding william kinghorn

i have received william kinghorn's service records from scotland, he served in the 93rd foot regiment and served in the west indies and south america, he was discharged in 1851/52, and classed as unfit for further service as well as spending a lot of time inprison , he was also staioned at edinburgh castle, after 1851, i have r un into a brick wall, what happened to him, is there any death date that can be found at all, his parents were abraham and margaret nee mcnab, he was born in 1813 in sleat inverness, after 1851/52 is a brickwall, any help or leads would be greatly appreciated.

I did some searches back in May on SP and came up with nothing. It might well have been that he died between 1851 and 1855 and would therefore not be in the official records.

Have you had a thorough search of the 1861?

Scotlands People is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

You can check the 1861 census there as well.  Ancestry also has an index.
