hi

looking for john brown and elizabeth gower marriage and can't find it on bmd index both on 1851 cenuses in eltham lewisham kent and it say john born there and elizabeth born greenwich the marraige must be before 1850 as there son henry was born then.

can anyone help

You can send for the certificate of John Brown saying you only want it if Eliza Gower is the Bride.


I cannot see a John Brown and Eliza Gower.

HI there,

If you look at the actual image on Free BMD,you will see that it says Elham and page number 191 I have advised Free BMD of this error.

The two ladies on that same page are Mary Gill and Ann Jones.

This does not seem to be the right one for a near London marriage,Elham is Ashford/Folkestone way  Huh

I can find John and Rhoda AMOS in Greenwich in 1851.
