I've managed to trace my wife's family back to William Henry Davidge (born c1834 in Yarlington) but I've can't seem to get back any further.
Has anyone ever come across this person in their research? Apparently he married a Jemima Moore in Sherborne in 1860 and had the following children:
John Davidge born c1863 in Wareham Dorset James Davidge born c1865 in Wareham Dorset Charlotte L Davidge born c1867 in Wareham Dorset Frank Moore Davidge (my wife's great Grandfather) born 1871 in Bailey Hill, Castle Carey, Somerset

I really wonder where the above William Richard is hiding in 1871! (He's age 3 months with his parents on the 1861 census)
