There's a lovely book written about Sentry Hill and the McKinney family by Brian M. Walker which has been reprinted at least once. Plenty of photos and family details.

Hi Lis, I would be delighted if you could look up some info for me. My GG Grandparents are interred in Carnmoney. They are Robert Thompson who died 23/11/1878 and Mary Thompson/Johnston who died 05/04/1895. Apparently both sides of the family for generations have been buried in Carnmoney old graveyard. There should be a Samuel Thompson buried in one of 8 graves just below the old church. I would be really gratefull if you could give me any information on any Thompson's or Johnston's in the old graveyard. I look forward to hearing from you. Faith

Hi Faith,

Out of interest are there any McClinton's buried there as I believe a branch lived there for quite some time.

Many thanks

Hi Lis

I was wondering if you were able to check on the surname Henderson (William Hugh and a wife if you can find her) and John and Frances Wilson (nee Laird).  Family stories say they were interred in Carnmoney, but I do not know for sure.

Greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Liscoole

I can't send private messages, so thought I would say not a problem, and thanks anyway here.

It was worth a shot.  Cheesy
