Hairstyle & clothing could make this a couple of years earlier,1914-16. Mother & 3 daughters taken at the same time maybe. Can you do a high res scan of the album & crop it to under 500Kb. jim

Hi there!
I am fascinated by this lady's necklace. It is so long! I can't remember seeing one like that before. How common were they? Does it have any special significance?
Beautiful restores and colourings by everyone!

hi Oldtimer,
Good question!
Looks to me like it could be a crucifix at the end, so possibly a rosary of some sort. Typically, there would be 5 sets of the prayer beads on the loop but these were counted 3 times over for the full rosary (now 4 times). Some, are just one set and made up like a bracelet, so need to keep count that it is 3 sets of 5 sets of prayers. It's possible that some were made with the full 3 times 5 sets, but I've never come across one before.
However, on this side of the family almost certainly catholic (my prime suspect for the identity of this lady is one of the sisters of a nun).

Hi Sheila
Yes, I thought it was a crucifix.
What a fascinating answer! Thank you!

Thanks Rachel,
That's another super colour and makes them look so different again.
I really like yellow roses too.
thanks, Sheila
