I am trying to find a man called Abraham Bell who was born in Wexford, married a lady called Angelina Harford had two children and moved to Wales.
Can anybody help I think they might have lived in Dublin for a while. Angelina came from Dublin. Abraham was born about 1841 in Wexford according to the 1871 census in Wales, his wife Angelina was born in Dublin About 1844 and died in about 1876 in Wales.
His first two children Nicolas and Elizabeth according to the 1871 census are born in Wexford in about 1861 and 1864. While on the 1881 census they are born in Dublin. By1891 Abraham had moved to Stockton on tees in the North East of England and the two children born in Ireland had not moved with him. he had re married and had 4 more children. Thank you aghadoway for your advice.

Welcome to Rootschat but you need to include a bit more information. Ages/birthdates? details from whatever census you found them in, etc.

Having approx. dates does help. Unfortunately civil registration of births in Ireland only began in 1864 so there will not be a birth certificate for the child born 1861 and possibly not for the child born c1864 either. IGI (www.familysearch.org) lists Nicholas born 1875 and Elizabeth born 1873 but both are submitted records and may not be accurate.

Thank you for all your help. I have found Abrhams father his name was George also of Wexford, but I have not connected them with any of your suggestions. If there is any body out there in this that can help I would be most greatful. Does any body have connections with the Bell's in Wales where they migrated to.
Regards Brian Bell

Hi Blueday,
Bell is a name thatsfound in Wexford Town.. If you contact www.wexfordanglican.org they will be able to send you the entry from the parish registers. Its likely your Ancestor was married in St.Iberius Anglican Parish church , mainst, wexford.
Infact there are Bells still living in wexford. I know some.

For what it is worth. There was one Bell from Wexford who was killed in WW1 and he enlisted in Liverpool. He was husband of Mary Catherine Bell of 9, Castor Place, Belmont Rd, Liverpool. From 'The Wexford War Dead' to be published in November. Regards. Tom.

That is interesting, two of Abrahams oldest children Nicholas and Elizabeth disappeared from the radar after 1881 when the family moved from Wales to Stockton on tees up in the north east of England. It is worth checking out.
